From Long Island to Tampa, three generations of the Erb family have built their business around helping people.
John Erb’s Service Center began on Long Island, New York, in 1959, when John Erb Jr. and his wife, Tillie, opened a family automotive business founded on one simple principle:
“Our number one priority is to help people—and fix their cars when necessary.”
In 1971, John, Tillie and their family relocated to Tampa, opening John Erb’s Gulf at 101 S. Dale Mabry, near Kennedy Boulevard. Five years later, John Erb III (John Erb Jr.’s son) earned his ASE certification and continued the family tradition.
In 1999, John opened the Northdale location. More than six decades after John and Tillie began the family business, the Erbs are still helping Tampa drivers with honest advice, understandable answers and repairs done properly.
Short, plainspoken videos from John about repairs, maintenance and what your car is trying to tell you.
